According to Jeff Zrebiec, Maryland S Darnell Savage Jr. visited or met with 14 teams during the pre-draft process.
The full list includes the Cardinals, Buccaneers, Colts, Seahawks, Lions, Titans, Falcons, Chargers, Rams, Patriots, Panthers, Browns, Eagles and Steelers.
Daniel Jeremiah (per Jeff Zrebiec) wouldn’t be at all surprised if Savage Jr. gets selected in the first round. Jeremiah also mentioned that no player has more steam heading into the draft than Savage: “Teams love him.”
Savage Jr, 21, was a three-year starter at Maryland who initially played cornerback before transitioning to safety in 2016. Most draft analysts have him as a mid-round prospect in this year’s draft.
Lance Zierlein compares Savage Jr to S Lamarcus Joyner.
During his four-year college career at Maryland, Savage Jr recorded 182 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, 13 pass defenses and a fumble recovery over the course of 40 games.
