Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that formerย Mississippi State S Brandon Bryantโs application for the NFL supplemental draft has been approved.
Bryant is scheduledย to hold his pro day on June 25 atย Mississippi State.
Bryant joinsย Western Michigan CB Sam Beal andย Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexanderย as possible players available to be selected inย next month’s supplemental draft.
It’s rare for anyone to be selected in a supplemental draft, but it sounds like these players have a decent shot at being picked.
The last player taken in a supplementย draft came back in 2015 when the Rams elected to use a fifth-round pick onย OT Isaiah Battle. Before that, the Browns used a second-round pick on WR Josh Gordon back in 2012.
Bryant recorded 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble over three seasons at Mississippi State and 37 games played.
We’ll have more regarding Bryant and the supplemental draft as the news is available.
