Bears QB Mitch Trubisky (hip pointer) was once again a full participant for Friday’s practice and will start Sunday’s game against the Giants, per James Palmer.
Earlier in the week, Bears HC Matt Nagy said Trubisky’s hip pointer was a day-to-day injury and the plan was for him to remain the team’s starter as long as he’s healthy.
Trubisky suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday night’s 17-7 loss to the Rams. It affected Trubisky enough that Nagy decided to bench him late in the game.
Trubisky, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Bears back in 2017. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $29 million contract that included a $19.17 million signing bonus and set to make base salaries of $152,156 and $2.21 million over the next two years.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bears to pick up in 2020.
In 2019, Trubisky has appeared in nine games for the Bears and completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,580 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions.
