Randy Gregory Remains In “Good Standing” With NFL, Despite Talk Of Trouble Ahead

Update:

Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones was asked Monday about the talk that there could be more trouble ahead for DE Randy Gregory.

A Cowboys source tells Jean-Jacques Taylor that DE Randy Gregory remains in “good standing” with NFL, despite the talk that trouble could be in the horizon for him.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters after Sunday’s preseason game that they’re taking Gregoryโ€™s off the field issues are a day to day thing.

“Let’s just put it like this, his deal is day-to-day,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Randy came into this league as an outstanding player, there’s no question about his talent. Having said that, we’ve just got to continue to work. …We wouldn’t have put him out there if we couldn’t plan on him.

“You saw it tonight and you’ve seen in his other work really this entire training camp that he gives us some real additional pressure.

Jones added that he expects Gregory to play in their season opener and isn’t aware of any issues around the corner for the defensive end, per Mike Fisher.
