NFC North Notes: Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings

Bears

  • Per ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson, Bears HC Matt Nagy said QB Mitchell Trubisky took all the first-team reps in practice and is in line to start this week against the Saints.

Packers

  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Packers WR Geronimo Allison remains out with a concussion as the MRI on his ribs came back clean.
  • Packers HC Matt LaFleur says the goal is for recently-signed WR Ryan Grant to be able to play this week, and his familiarity with LaFleur’s scheme from his time under Sean McVay in Washington should be able to help with that. (Ryan Wood)
  • Packers WR Davante Adams says his toe feels “a million times better” but still isn’t sure when he’ll return to play. (Matt Schneidman)

Lions

Lions HC Matt Patricia said the team is not focused on Monday’s controversial loss to the Green Bay Packers.

For us, if we don’t focus on that then we’re going to have a major issue come Sunday and I can’t let that happen,” Patricia said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “We’re moving ahead, we’re trying to get ready to go and honestly I’m trying to do the best I can to give you as much information as possible to write on those topics that I know everybody wants to ask about, but for me it’s all about Minnesota.”

Patricia said the coaching staff examined around 30 plays from Week 6’s game that the Lions must improve.

“In the end, those are the plays in the game that matter,” Patricia said. “Those are the ones that make a difference in the game that we know we’ve got to perform at a higher level, both from coaching No. 1 and playing No. 2, and those are the things we need to get fixed going forward. And I think the team understands that, we understand that. We don’t make excuses. We understand we got to win, and the bottom line is, in order to win in this league and to win convincingly or to win at a high level, it’s up to the coaches and it’s up to the players. And that’s the bottom line.”

Vikings

  • Per Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Vikings LT Riley Reiff returned to practice Thursday and should be ready to play Sunday.
  • Vikings LB Ben Gedeon remains out with a concussion.
