Charles Robinson reports that a “very close” friend to Vikings HC Mike Zimmer told him regarding the John DeFilippo hire: “Listen, Mike. I don’t know that you and Flip are really that closely aligned. You’re an odd match. And oh, by the way, Flip is a climber. Be ready for him looking for NFL jobs, you know, as soon as the season’s over. Make sure you have a plan B at offensive coordinator.”
