NFC Notes: Todd Gurley, Rams, Saints

Todd Gurley

Rams RB Todd Gurley says he isn’t dealing with any issues related to his knee and he’s good to go for the Super Bowl.

โ€œIโ€™m good. If there was an issue on my knee, it would be on the injury report,โ€ Gurley said, via Pro Football Talk. โ€œCome on now. Iโ€™m at practice. Iโ€™m playing.โ€

As for his role in the Rams’ offense, Gurley says he doesn’t ask questions and focusing solely on doing his job.

โ€œI donโ€™t ask no questions. I just do my job,โ€ Gurley said. โ€œWe got the win. Thatโ€™s all that matters. I can not play one snap. I donโ€™t care if [long snapper] Jake McQuaide is the Super Bowl MVP. Iโ€™ve got one more game left. I donโ€™t care what nobodyโ€™s talking about. Yโ€™all can call me hurt. Yโ€™all can call me whatever, but weโ€™re going to the Super Bowl.

โ€œWhat do yโ€™all not understand? Itโ€™s not about me. This sport has never been about me. Itโ€™s never been about one player. Toddโ€™s only going to be with the Rams so much longer. Itโ€™s going to be another dude that comes in just like me. This whole game is bigger than me. Itโ€™s not just about me. Why is Todd not getting the ball? Why is that? Because thereโ€™s only one football, and thereโ€™s 11 guys. Only one guy can touch the ball each time. Itโ€™s way bigger than me.โ€
