NFL Notes: Bills, Giants, Patriots, & Raiders

Bills

Mike Rodak of ESPN writes that veteran QB Matt Cassel was “noticeably worse” than EJ Manuel and Tyrod Taylor in the six practices open to reporters this spring.

Because of this, Rodak mentions that Cassel is among the players who will enter training camp on the roster bubble.

There’s still time for Cassel to turn things around, but Rodak gives him a 60 percent shot chance of making the 53-man roster.

Giants

• Giants WR Marcus Harris was placed on reserve/injured list Thursday after he cleared waivers.

Patriots

• Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk takes a look at whether the Patriots should have their punishment reduced in the event the NFL decides to drop Tom Brady‘s suspension from four to two games.

Raiders

• Jason La Canfora mentions that he’s spoken to people around the league about the possibility that the Raiders could two years in San Antonio while the stadium in Los Angeles is built.
• La Canfora’s source mentions that the idea is not out of the question.
