Sheldon Day

• Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Texans, Lions and Cardinals also placed waiver claims for DT Sheldon Day on Monday.
• Day wound up being claimed by the 49ers (NFLTR), who have the No. 2 waiver priority right now the Texans (No. 11), Lions (No. 20) and Cardinals (No. 8).

Cardinals

• Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (broken arm, injured reserve) had the cast removed from his arm. (Mike Jurecki)
• Bruce Arians told reporters that WR John Brown (turf toe) and DL Josh Mauro (high ankle sprain) could both miss time. (Darren Urban)

Giants

• Dan Duggan reports that Giants OL D.J. Fluker is expected to miss Thursday’s game with a toe injury and it’s possible that his absence could be longer.

Rams
