Carson Palmer Set On Retirement?

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis is convinced that Carson Palmer is going to retire rather than return to the NFL.

“Carson feels like his time here is over,” Lewis said. “He feels like the best thing is to retire and spend time with family.”

Palmer has been a hot topic for the last few months but this is the first strong indication that he’s actually ready to retire. Prior to this, it was seen as more of a bargaining tactic rather than a legitimate option for him.
