Packers Officially Place DT Kenny Clark On Injured Reserve

Field Yates reports that the Packers have officially placed DT Kenny Clark on injured reserve on Tuesday.

According to Rob Demovsky, Packers OL Alex Light will rejoin the active roster after serving his one-game suspension.

Last week, Tom Pelissero reported that Clark was being placed on season-ending injured reserve with an elbow injury, so this was expected to occur.

The good news is that Clark will not require surgery for his elbow injury, according to Pelissero.

Clark, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $9.3 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1.7 million for the 2019 season.

The Packers will need to decide whether to pick up Clark’s fifth-year option in 2019.

In 2018, Clark appeared in 13 games for the Packers and recorded 55 tackles, six sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries and three pass defenses.
