Packers Waive Rookie TE Colt Lyerla With An Injury Settlement

ESPN’s Adam Schefter, citing a league source, reports that the Packers have waived undrafted rookie TE Colt Lyerla with an injury settlement.

  • Tom Pelissero of USA Today mentions that the Packers could consider re-signing Lyerla around Week 15 once he’s done with his rehab.

Lyerla was one of the more notable undrafted signings given his talent and the Packers need for help at tight end.

Unfortunately for Lyerla, he suffered a torn MCL and PCL in his right knee while trying to make a play during the team’s family night scrimmage. Lyerla has yet to undergo surgery on his, but he’ll face at least six weeks of rehab.
