The Carolina Panthers announced Friday that they’ve activated LB Shaq Thompson, WR Curtis Samuel and DT Derrick Brown from the COVID-19 list.
Thompson, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2015. He completed his four-year, $8.808 million rookie contract that included $7.172 million guaranteed and had his fifth-year option picked up by Carolina worth $9.232 million for the 2019 season.
The Panthers later signed Thompson to a four-year deal is worth $54.2 million last year.
In 2020, Thompson has appeared in 12 games for the Panthers and recorded 87 tackles, no sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery and five passes defended.
Samuel, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Panthers back in 2017. Samuel is entering the final year of his four-year contract worth $6,453,660, including a signing bonus of $2,833,572, and stands to make a base salary of $1.22 million in 2020.
In 2020, Samuel has appeared in 11 games and caught 54 passes for 517 yards receiving and one touchdown. He has also rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
