Field Yates reports that the Panthers brought in free agent OT Jermon Bushrod for a visit on Friday.
This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.
Bushrod, 34, is a former fourth-round pick of the Saints back in 2007. He spent six years in New Orleans before he departed in free agency for a five-year, $35.965 million contract that included $22.465 million guaranteed with the Bears.
Unfortunately, Bushrod lasted just three seasons in Chicago before he was released in 2016. After a few years with the Dolphins, the Saints signed him to a contract for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Bushrod appeared in 13 games for the Saints and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 59 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
