According to Adam Schefter, the Panthers have signed OL Martez Ivey to a one-year deal.
Ivey should have the chance to compete for a spot on Carolina’s offensive line next season.
Mark Long reports Ivey worked out at Florida’s pro day last week and did well enough to impress the Panthers.
Ivey, 25, was not drafted out of Florida in 2019. He caught on with the Patriots in July but was waived coming out of camp.
Ivey was drafted by the Tampa Bay Vipers in the XFL’s startup draft but his contract was terminated when the league suspended operations in 2020.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his four-year college career, Ivey played in 49 career games and made 44 starts, with 21 coming at left guard and 23 at left tackle.
