Patriots Re-Sign LS Danny Aiken & LB Chris White, Add QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots announced Thursday that they have re-signed LS Danny Aiken and LB Chris White.

  • New England also re-signed QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to their practice squad after waiving him on Wednesday.

Aiken, 26, signed a one-year, $725,000 contract with the Patriots back in March, but was among their final roster cuts this past weekend.

He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills out of Virginia back in 2011, but didn’t last long as he waived and later claimed by the Patriots later that year. He has been a regular contributor on special teams since arriving in New England.

White, 25, was also among the Patriots final roster cuts this past weekend. He’s a former sixth-round pick of the Bills. He spent three seasons in Buffalo before he was traded to the Lions in August of last year for QB Thad Lewis.

Last season, White played in all 16 games, but recorded just a single tackle on defense and nine on special teams.
