Patriots Re-Sign OL Cole Croston, Waive/Injured CB D’Angelo Ross

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have waived CB D’Angelo Ross with an injury designation and re-signed OL Cole Croston on Monday.

Should Ross clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Patriots’ injured serve list.

Croston, 25, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason in 2018 and later signed on to the team’s practice squad before being called up soon after.

The Patriots waived Croston later in the year before re-signing him to the practice squad. New England just cut Croston loose a few weeks ago with a non-football injury designation.

In 2018, Croston appeared in two games for the Patriots.
