Patriots Release WR Jace Billingsley From PS, Sign S David Jones

The New England Patriots announced Wednesday that they’ve signed S David Jones to their practice squad and released WR Jace Billingsley from the unit.

The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DE Trent Harris
  2. CB Jomal Wiltz
  3. RB Ralph Webb
  4. QB Danny Etling
  5. DT Vincent Valentine
  6. C/G James Ferentz
  7. OT Eric Smith
  8. TE Stephen Anderson
  9. WR Riley McCarron (Injured)
  10. WR Corey Coleman
  11. S David Jones

Billingsley, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Oregon back in 2016. Unfortunately, the Lions waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Billingsley was called up toward the end of last year, but he was once again among the Lions’ final roster cuts and he later signed on to the Patriots’ practice squad.

In 2017, Billingsley appeared in two games but did not record a statistic.
