According to Eric Edholm, the Patriots are expected to sign former Lions WR Jace Billingsley to their practice squad on Monday.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- DE Trent Harris
- CB Jomal Wiltz
- RB Ralph Webb
- QB Danny Etling
- DT Vincent Valentine
- C/G James Ferentz
- OT/G Cole Croston
- WR Riley McCarron
- WR Jace Billingsley
Billingsley, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Oregon back in 2016. Unfortunately, the Lions waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
Billingsley was called up toward the end of last year, but he was once again among the Lions’ final roster cuts this past weekend.
In 2017, Billingsley appeared in two games but did not record a statistic.
