The moves correspond to the Patriots signing OT Jared Veldheer and WR Dontrelle Inman.
Ubosi, 25, signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of UAB.
During his college career, Ubosi caught 48 passes for 1065 yards and nine touchdowns.
