According to Doug Kyed of NESN, Patriots WR Chris Hogan is expected to have a decent free agent market after garnering interest from teams at the Combine this week.
Kyed says that teams around the NFL aren’t turned off by Hogan’s down year for the Patriots.
Beyond that, there has been a lot of demand for receivers in free agency the past few years, which should work in Hogan’s favor.
Hogan, 30, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He had brief stints with the Giants and Dolphins before signing on with the Bills during the 2012 season.
Buffalo elected to bring Hogan back on exclusive rights deals for the next two seasons before the Patriots signed him away as a restricted free agent in 2016.
Hogan played out the final year of his three-year, $12 million contract and is now in position to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Hogan appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and caught 35 passes for 532 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
