On Thursday, Penn State LB Micah Parsons announced via his Instagram account that he’s opting out of the 2020 season and will enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
Eric Edholm reported earlier in the week that Parsons was expected to opt-out of the 2020 season, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Parsons is considered to be one of, in not, the top linebackers in the country and should end up being a high first-round pick next year when all is said and done.
Daniel Jeremiah compared Parson to Jaylon Smith coming out of Notre Dame before his knee injury.
During his two years at Penn State, Parsons recorded 191 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, six forced fumbles, a recovery, and five passes defended over the course of 26 games.
