The Minnesota Vikings have begun the search process to find their next defensive coordinator and the Star Tribuneย reports that it appears to be down toย Vikings linebackers coach Mike Singletary, former Buccanersย head coach Raheem Morris, formerย Ramsย head coach Steve Spagnuolo andย Jacksonville Jaguarsย interim head coach Mel Tucker.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned that he sees Morris as the favorite to get the job.
Morris has interviewed with the Washington Redskins for their secondary coach position but the Vikings were said to be willing to discuss a better position with Morris and the defensive coordinator job would qualify as just that. It’s by far the best offer that we’ve heard connected to Morris so there’s a chance that this could get done in near future as Leslie Frazier‘s staff will be coaching one of the Senior Bowl teams in the coming weeks.
