According to Jason Cole of B/R,ย Raiders owner Mark Davis could be nearing an agreement to sell portion of the franchiseย to a Los Angeles investor.
- Cole mentions that a deal could be in place at some point in the near future in hope of relocating theย team.
Coleย previouslyย reported that Davisย may have toย sell a portionย or all of his team to an L.A. investor, so this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. Davis, himself, has said previously that he’s open to the idea.
Four sources toldย Cole at the time thatย there is an investor located in Los Angeles who would help the Raiders relocate to L.A. and join the Chargers as part of the Carson project.
There has been talk for months now that NFL owners are concernedย about Davis’ ability to move the Raidersย by himself and handle all of the specifics that would come from relocatingย the team to L.A.
In recent days, there has been no indication thatย NFL owners are any closer to backing one of the two proposed stadium projects.
The Carson stadium would house both the Chargers and the Raiders, and Rams’ owner Stan Kroenke’sย has been pushing his Inglewood project for some time now.
Cole said previously thatย Davis would likeย need to make a “significant move” to get the Raiders to Los Angeles.
Any team relocating to L.A. will need the support of 75 percent of the owners, and it appears the league is open to more ideas than the options currently on the table.
We’ll have more regarding the Los Angeles’ stadium projects and the Raiders as the news is available.

Raiders to LA is problematic for the NFL–GANG BANGERS LOVE THEM SOME RAIDERS and the BRANDING of that LA TEAM will NEVER go away if the black and silver returns to SoCAl. You can pair Davis with another rich owner but the gangs and hip hop artists will write lyrics about them.
Yep, it’s sickening as far as I’m concerned. Gangs and hip-hop is scum to me.
I can’t believe that Davis has not considered taking the Raiders public to raise money for a stadium. Raider fans would buy stock, and Davis can retain control. The investing public would benefit because the value of the team and stadium will go up in value over time such that they would not lose money. The Boston Celtics did it a few years ago. The Green Bay Packers are a public company and the fans own their seats. This is a really practical decision that keeps him in control and the Raiders in Oakland.
interesting.
You have the answer
Why is there no Oakland investor?…
Yeah, Mark, you bastard liar.
The Raiders are not going to LA. They do not conform with NFL even down to painting the 50 yard marker gold. They went to LA and died and went back to Oakland. The NFL does not want to lose Scal market which includes Mexico, so the Chargers are going nowhere. No one wants to live in St. Louis, low market share and they are willing to pay for their own stadium so I believe it will be the Rams.
I think they have a real shot at LA. Apparently you haven’t kept up with the news? They didn’t paint the 50 gold because of the baseball diamond, it will be painted this weekend. SD can’t afford to keep the Chargers & neither can Oakland. Oakland is set on keeping the A’s there….so, 2 of the oldest stadiums left in the league + the only stadium to still house a baseball team = NFL will have to address these 2 issues. All speculation till the owners vote?
Hard to say with the PC commissioner. He should be driving a decision to the owners not let languish in endless discussion with the owners. Who will probably not want to piss off their other owner buddies and make a decision not in the best intrest of the NFL and the teams who are looking to move from CHEAP TOWNS
And while i’m on the PC subject get rid of this PINK SHIT in October. They look like fairies running around in a gay flag football league. I was hoping TRUMP would buy this team the Raiders AND MAKE THEM GREAT AGAIN!
I think Goddell has to go…he’s just a wimpy leader. I don’t have a problem with breast cancer awareness month as we all have been touched by this disease. It’s good the NFL uses it’s power to spread the word. Sorry you have the homophobic bug? Gay football league? Really?
I don’t like the pink either, but I’m sure the breast cancer survivors and patients appreciate it…
I’m just wishful thinking…you know…
I hope you’re right. Raiders need to stay in Oakland. BTY, they won a SB in LA, fyi…
They just played their games in LA, In 1983, they lived and practiced in the East Bay, and that’s no small thing. No distractions in the East Bay, nothing to do but think Football.

Still LA Raiders.
I get it, bud.)
has anyone ever noticed that the fans are not complaining about the stadium? we could care less where they play as long as they stay in Oakland. Mark should just stay put and wait till the a’s move. they will either go to san jose or move close to the water. the colosseum doesn’t bother me. I care about the team.
Colosseum does not bother me either. I could care less about the A’s. Football baby!!! Renovate it again, no prob. Have known stars like Santana, Hanks, and other famous fans help out…
bart drops me right there. let’s just keep using the colosseum till it falls down, who cares? just play football and JUST WIN BABY…
If he does not get a buyer partner that is probably what will happen Year to year lease
but do you really care? so what, we have always been the underdogs.
we win a few more championships and the city will be begging to build a stadium. in the mean time, I don’t mind going to the coliseum, bart drops me off right on the front door. just win BABY. ask any fan, we don’t care about a new stadium.
Fine…
If thats the only fashion by which the Raiders can get into a new stadium, then so be it. Hopefully they can stay in Oakland, but if it ends up being in LA, so be it. Hopefully he won’t sell a controlling share in the team…but if he does, so be it. This drama has dragged on for far, far too long already. Time to end this, one way or another, this franchise deserves a modern facility and stable financial backing.
Amen Raider brutha!!
yes
why is a new stadium so important? ask any fan, we could care less. the colosseum has a lot of old memories and I still enjoy it. bart drops me off right on the door step.
The players deserve something up to date. Part of the reason why some free agents don’t come to play here is the age of everything, thats why Mark made the initiative to at least upgrade the training facilities. Also to allure big corporate money for those splashy luxury boxes and suites is another. ….plus not having a stadium with leaking sewage in the locker room and other potential problems associated with age…and perhaps not to have to share a stadium with a baseball team and deal with part grass/part dirt. I’m sure the players would have better peace of mind with a more consistent quality surface. I would assume that’d be some of the reasons.
Lloyd Christmas did not age well
I think when its all said and done, it’ll be the Rams and Raiders going to Inglewood with the Chargers ordered to settle their issues w/ San Diego. The NFL team votes would pretty much block each team from moving so the ultimate decision will be made by the NFL and Godell. St. Louis probably has the biggest support for a stadium but the NFL is all about $$$ and that means moving the Rams to LA. Raiders will be able to share the Inglewood stadium with the help of a new investor in the Raiders. It would benefit the Raiders the most by a move to LA because San Diego and St. Louis have much better plans in place to keep their teams with stadium plans versus anything than Oakland can ever muster up.
No, it will be one team, Kroenke’s Rams. Then, either the Chargers to follow soon, or if the Chargers don’t settle in SD, an expansion team in Kroenke’s stadium.
Chargers should move to St Louis where they can continue to be without a Ring forever.
RAIDUUUUUHHHHHS
why do we need a new stadium? ask any fan, we really don’t care. we are just happy to go watch our team, cook a little in the parking lot and watch our team play football. la will never support even one team unless they are winning every game.
2 teams will be a blunder. la will never be profitable.
Tell that to Mark Davis. He’s the one who wants to move.
I can’t deal with his haircut lol
That’s what happens when Donald Trump is your stylist.
I think Trump likes Mark’s Hairdo and that is justification to buy the franchise
Pretty sad if all you’re worried about is damn haircut!! Go back to sleep……zzzzzz
I know…
