Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times mentions that the chances of the Raiders using their franchise tag on RB Michael Bush are “better than even money.”
Bush filled in for Darren McFadden while he was out with a serious Lisfranc sprain and was pretty productive in his absence. Keeping Bush would help to maintain their solid running game as McFadden can’t be counted on to stay healthy. The downside, however, is that the Raiders would have to be willing to pay Bush a one-year salary of $7.7 to $8 million.
This certainly not the craziest idea but the team will have other key decisions to make regarding their roster.
