According to Vic Tafur, the Raiders brought in free agent DE Cassius Marsh for a visit on Wednesday.
The Raiders also met with linebackers Aaron Lynch and Manti Te’o, but Tafur reports that all three left without contracts.
This is the first reported interest in Marsh since he was released last week.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Marsh to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Marsh, 26, is a former fourth-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Seahawks traded Marsh to the Patriots for fifth- and seventh-round picks in 2017 but he was waived in November and later claimed off of waivers by the 49ers.
Marsh played out the final year of his rookie contract before returning to the 49ers on a two-year deal worth a base value of $7.7 million last year. San Francisco cut him loose last week.
In 2018, Marsh appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and recorded 38 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.
