The Oakland Raiders announced Friday that OT Matt McCants has signed his exclusive rights tender.

McCants, 24, was a sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2012. He appeared in 13 games for Oakland last year, but was limited to playing just 266 snaps.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as a very solid pass-protector, despite the limited amount of playing time he saw in 2013.

I do like this lineman. If he hit the weight room he would be great. He played well in limited time last season and is a good pass blocker. If anyone can play left tackle better than Penn and Watson it’s him.
