Aaron Curry tweeted that he no longer plays for the Oakland Raiders this afternoon, which is a pretty clear indication that he was released by the team.
Curry has been hampered by knee injuries for a good majority of his NFL career. He was placed on the Raiders PUP list and wound up missing the team’s first eight games this season.
Curry was the No. 4 overall pick back in the 2009 draft, so there’s still a chance that he could find work elsewhere, but there will be questions regarding the condition of his knees.
