The Oakland Raiders announced that they’ve signed KÂ Giorgio Tavecchio to their practice squad on Friday and released DE Max Valles from the unit.
The Raiders’ practice squad currently consists of:
- WR Keon Hatcher
- WR Isaac Whitney
- CB Breon Borders
- DE Fadol Brown
- G Jordan Simmons
- RB Elijah Hood
- TE Pharaoh Brown
- LB Shilique Calhoun (Exception)
- C James Stone (Exception)
- KÂ Giorgio Tavecchio
Tavecchio, 27, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2012. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster and was released at the start of the season.
The Raiders later claimed him off of waivers in 2014 and he’s been on and off of their roster the past few years. Oakland cut him loose last week as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
Tavecchio has yet to appear in an NFL game.
