Raiders Sign LB Preston Brown

According to NBC Sports’ Scott Bair, the Raiders have signed LB Preston Brown on Monday.

Brown was waived by the Bengals last week after just signing a three-year deal this past offseason.

Brown, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3,005,750 before agreeing to a one-year contract with the Bengals last year.

Brown was once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason when he agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $21 million with Cincinnati. Brown was set to make base salaries of $3.25 million and $4.15 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Brown has appeared in nine games for the Bengals and recorded 53 tackles, no sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 78 linebacker out of 85 qualifying players.
