Raiders Sign OL Cameron Hunt, Waive Rookie OL Alex Officer

The Oakland Raiders announced Thursday that they’ve placed rookie OL Alex Officer on waivers and signed OL Cameron Hunt to a contract.

Officer, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Pittsburgh a few weeks ago before securing an opportunity with the Raiders soon after.

During his college career at Pittsburgh, Officer appeared in 51 games and made 48 starts for the team while seeing time at both left and right guard.

Hunt, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Hunt eventually caught on with the 49ers towards the end of the season.

During his college career at Oregon, Hunt appeared in 52 games, making 43 starts over the course of four years.
