Mike Garafolo of NFL Media is reporting that the Rams have claimed QB Brandon Allen off waivers from the Jaguars on Monday.
Allen, 24, is a former sixth-round pick out of Arkansas by the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of a four-year, $2.4 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $540,000 this season.
The Jaguars somewhat surprising waived him on Sunday after they claimed several players off of waivers.
During his four-year college career, Allen recorded 583 completions on 1,016 pass attempts (57.4 percent) for 7,463 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 26 interceptions.
