The Los Angeles Rams hosted Florida DE/OLB Jachai Polite for a pre-draft visit on Wednesday, according to Josh Norris.
Polite will be one of the more interesting players to watch in this year’s draft, given that he’s one of the better pass rusher prospects. However, he’s had a pretty bad pre-draft process that has included questionable interviews at the Combine and poor testing numbers.
Some have said that Polite could be in for a drop, possibly to Day 3 while others believe he could still be in play for a team in the latter portion of round one.
As for the Rams, they’ve re-signed Dante Fowler Jr and brought in Clay Matthews this offseason, but it appears as though they still plan to do work on edge rushers leading up to the draft.
During his three-year college career at Florida, Polite recorded 78 tackles, 15 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and four pass defenses.
