Ravens Activate CB Asa Jackson From Short-Term I.R.

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens have activated CB Asa Jackson from the short-term injured reserve list on Saturday.

  • According to Wilson, Jackson is expected to see “extensive” playing time in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
  • The Ravens also placed CB Tramain Jacobs on season-ending injured reserve.

Jackson suffered a “very severely sprained toe” during Week 5’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Ravens have been without Jackson for the past seven games.

Getting Jackson back could be a big addition for a their secondary, which has really been a sore spot for Baltimore’s defense this season,

Jackson, 24, is in the third year of his rookie contract worth $2.24 million. He’ll make $570,000 for the 2014 season and another $660,000 next year.

On the season, Jackson has appeared in five games and recorded 19 tackles and a pass defense.
