Ravens Activate CB Maurice Canady, Waive OL Hroniss Grasu

According to Jeff Zrebiec, the Baltimore Ravens have officially activated CB Maurice Canady from injured reserve to the active roster and waived OL Hroniss Grasu to make room for him.

Canady, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.44 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

He was placed on injured reserve back in September but was designated to return within the last two weeks.

In 2018, Canady has appeared in one game for the Ravens and recorded four tackles and no interceptions.

Grasu, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.44 million contract that included $814,855 guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Bears waived him coming out of the preseason.

The Ravens signed him to a contract over the offseason following a workout.

In 2018, Grasu has appeared in three games for the Ravens and appeared in 80 total snaps.
