Ravens Place OT Ricky Wagner On Season-Ending I.R. & Promote DE Steve Means

The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they placed OT Ricky Wagner on season-ending injured reserve.

  • The Ravens also promoted DE Steve Means to their active roster to take Wagner’s place.
  • Baltimore released DE Zach Thompson from their practice squad and signed OL Nate Menkin and Joe Unga.

The Ravens will have to either start undrafted rookie James Hurst at offensive tackle or adjust their line to fill Wagner’s role.

Either way, this isn’t an ideal situation for a team that’s still battling to get into the postseason.

Wagner, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Ravens during the 2013 NFL draft. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 right tackle in the league and the No. 13 offensive tackle overall.
