Ravens Place RB Lorenzo Taliaferro On I.R. & Sign LB Lamar Louis

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they’ve placed RB Lorenzo Taliaferro on injured reserve and signed ILB Lamar Louis to their active roster.

Taliaferro, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.52 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 and $690,000 over the next two years.

The Ravens placed Taliaferro on the PUP list as they were coming out of the preseason and activated him back in October.

In 2016, Taliaferro was limited to appearing in just three games for the Ravens and rushing for no yards on a single carry to go along with three receptions for 10 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Louis, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation on Wednesday.

Louis was active for the team’s season-opener on Sunday but did not record a single statistic. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation a few weeks into the regular season and later cut him from injured reserve with a settlement.

He had a brief stint on the Saints’ practice squad.

In 2016, Louis has appeared in one game but did not record a statistic.
