The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed RB Bobby Rainey and waived OT Dieugot Joseph.

  • The Ravens also signed C Derrick Nelson and DT Kapron Lewis-Moore to their practice squad and released TE Ryan Malleck and DB Ronald Martin from the unit.

The Ravens’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. FB Ricky Ortiz (Injured)
  2. G Maurquice Shakir
  3. WR Quincy Adeboyejo
  4. QB Josh Woodrum
  5. G Arie Kouandjio
  6. LB Nicholas Grigsby
  7. RB John Crockett
  8. TE Gabe Holmes
  9. CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste
  10. C Derrick Nelson
  11. DT Kapron Lewis-Moore

Rainey, 29, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky back in 2012. He spent over a year in Baltimore before being waived at the start of the 2013 season and later claimed by the Browns.

Rainey lasted just a few months in Cleveland before he was once again waived and this time claimed by the Buccaneers. The Giants signed him to a one-year contract last April.

Rainey signed on with the Ravens this summer but was released as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

In 2016, Rainey appeared in 15 games for the Giants and rushed for 63 yards on 17 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 20 receptions for 153 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He totaled 204 kick return yards and 39 punt return yards.
