Ravens Rookie K Kaare Vedvik Hospitalized With Head Injury, Placed On NFI List

According to Justin Fenton and Childs Walker of the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens have placed rookie K Kaare Vedvik on the NFI list after he was hospitalized on Saturday.

The Ravens announced that Vedvik suffered head injuries and they are monitoring the situation.

The Baltimore Police Department released a statement:

This morning at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Baltimore City Fire Department requested the Baltimore Police Department in reference to an injures person. When officers arrived in the area of 2000 block of Boone St, they located the victim, identified as Kaare Vedvikm suffering from upper body injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, we have not confirmed how his injuries occurred. The injuries are not life-threatening. Investigators are conducting follow ups in reference to this,” per T.J. Smith.

Vedvik, 24, signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall back in May. It is his first opportunity on an NFL Team.

During his four-year college career, Vedvik had 129 punt attempts for 5,397 net yards (41.8 YPK) to go along with 10 field goals for 16 attempts (62.5 percent) and 41 extra points for 42 attempts (97.6 percent).
