Ravens Sign DB Marqueston Huff Off Jaguars’ PS, Place CB Maurice Canady On I.R.

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they’ve signed DB Marqueston Huff off of the Jaguars’ practice squad on Thursday and placed CB Maurice Canady on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Huff, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Titans. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.654 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $600,000 and $690,000 over the remainder of the agreement.

The Titans waived him as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players, but he was later claimed by the Jaguars. Unfortunately, Jacksonville cut Huff loose a few weeks later before signing him to their practice squad.

In 2015, Huff appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and recorded 15 tackles, no interceptions, and two pass defenses.

Canady, 22, was taken in the sixth round of this year’s draft. He signed a four-year, $2.44 million contract and is set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Canady appeared in four games for the Ravens and recorded two tackles.
