The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they’ve claimed OL Kyle Kalis off waivers from the Colts and promoted WRย Robert Davis to their active roster.
- The Redskins also waived LB Pete Robertson and DL Caraun Reid.
It’s rare for a team to claim a player who was waived with an injury designation, as teams use this to get a player on injured reserve.
Kalis, 23, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May. He was among the team’s final roster cuts but was signed to the practice squad once clearing waivers.
The Colts signed him off Washington’s practice squad in October only to cut him loose with an injury designation last week.
So far this season, Kalis has appeared in four games for Indianapolis.
