The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve waived five players including WR Tre McBride

The full list includes:

DB Alex Carter
G Kyle Fuller
T Darius James
WR Tre McBride
DB Harlan Miller
OL Salesi Uhatafe

McBride, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Titans back in 2015. He spent over two years in Tennessee before he was waived at the start of the 2017 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Bears.

McBride lasted a few months in Chicago before finishing out the year with the Jets and returning to New York on a futures contract last year. The Jets cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he sat out the entire year.

The Redskins signed McBride to a futures deal at the beginning of 2019.

In 2017, McBride appeared in eight games and caught eight passes for 144 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Carter, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2015. He was waived by the Lions at the start of the 2016 and they later signed to their practice squad before eventually being called up in December.

Since then, Carter has had brief stints with the Patriots, Seahawks, Bears and Panthers. He signed to the Redskins practice squad near the end of 2018 and had a brief stint on the active roster.

In 2018, Carter appeared in one game for the Redskins but did not record a statistic.

Miller, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the 2016 season and has been on and off of their practice squad the past two years.

Arizona elected to cut Miller loose shortly after the 2018 draft and re-signed him during the preseason. However, he was among the team’s final roster cuts. Miller signed with the Redskins in December

In 2018, Miller appeared in two games for the Redskins, but did not record a statistic.

James, 25, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was waived coming out of the preseason.

James has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Uhatafe, 24, was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Utah in 2018.  He was released at the end of the preseason

Uhatafe has spent some time on the practice squads for both the Jaguars and Lions. He played this spring for the Salt Lake Stallions in the AAF.
