According to JP Finlay of NBC Washington, the Redskins are hosting Alabama DL Da’Ron Payne and LSU RB Derrius Guice for pre-draft visits on Monday.
During the draft process, Guice has reportedly met with or worked out for the Ravens, Eagles, Steelers, Buccaneers, Giants, Seahawks and Patriots.
Guice, 20, is considered to be one of the top running back prospects int he 2018 draft class and should be in the mix to come off the board in the first round.
During his three-year college career at LSU, Guice rushed for 3,074 yards on 471 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 32 receptions for 250 yards receiving 32 total touchdowns over the course 35 games.
Payne has reportedly met with or worked out for the Falcons, Bengals, and Cowboys this offseason. The Lions have also come up as a team to watch, considering that they have his defensive line coach on their new coaching staff.
Payne spent three years at Alabama and recorded 102 tackles, five tackles for a loss, three sacks, an interception, five pass defenses, two fumble recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown and a forced fumble over the course of 35 games.
