Redskins Place Seventh-Round LB Steven Daniels On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Washington Redskins officially placed rookie LB Steven Daniels on their injured reserve list Tuesday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Daniels, 23, was taken in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2.581 million rookie contract with the Redskins that included a $77,296 signing bonus.

Washington placed him on waivers Monday with an injury designation.

During his four-year college career at Boston College, Daniels recorded 266 tackles, 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three recoveries, three interceptions and four pass defenses.
