The Washington Redskins released DT T.Y. McGill on Tuesday, according to Howard Balzer.
McGill, 26, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was claimed off of waivers by the Colts.
McGill had had brief stints with the Browns, Chiefs, Chargers and Eagles before the Chargers claimed him off waivers near the end of 2018. Los Angeles waived McGill at the end of the preseason and he just recently signed on with the Redskins.
In 2018, McGill appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and no sacks.
