Redskins Sign DL Cullen Jenkins To A One-Year Deal

Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins have signed veteran DE Cullen Jenkins to a one-year deal on Monday following his workout.

Jenkins is a versatile defensive lineman with some interior pass-rush ability, so he could prove to be a decent rotational player for Washington, assuming he makes the final cut.

Jenkins, 35, began his NFL career with in Green Bay where he played seven years for the Packers. Jenkins departed for the Eagles in 2011 and later signed on with the Giants as an unrestricted free agent back in 2013.

Last year, Jenkins appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and recorded 26 tackles, three sacks, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 103 interior defender out of 123 qualifying players.
