Redskins Sign Three Including LB Jeff Knox, Waive FB Elijah Wellman

The Washington Redskins have signed three players to their preseason roster including LB Jeff Knox, TE J.P Holtz, and DL Jalen Wilkerson and waived FB Elijah Wellman in a corresponding roster move, per JP Finlay.

Knox, 26, wound up going undrafted out of California University of Pennsylvania back in 2015. He later signed on with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and has two seasons playing in Canada before the Buccaneers signed him to a futures contract last January.

Unfortunately, the Bucs elected to cut Knox loose coming out of the preseason and he returned to the CFL. Tampa Bay re-signed him to a futures deal back in February.

In total, Knox has recorded 200 tackles, two sacks and an interception for the Roughriders over the course of 43 games in the CFL.
