According to Howard Balzer, the Washington Redskins brought in six players for tryouts on Monday including DE Charles Tapper.
The full list of tryouts for the Redskins includes:
- LB Josh Carraway
- OT Jaryd Jones-Smith
- OT Korren Kirven
- OT William Poehls
- OT Dan Skipper
- DE Charles Tapper
Of this group, the Redskins elected to sign Carraway to their practice squad.
Tapper, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.95 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the next two years when the Cowboys cut him loose this past weekend.
Dallas later re-signed Tapper to their practice squad only to release him a few days later.
In 2017, Tapper appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and a sack for the Cowboys.
