Redskins Waive CB Chase Minnifield

The Washington Redskins have placed CB Chase Minnifield on waivers to make room for WR Leonard Hankerson, who has been activated from the team’s PUP list, according to Tarik El-Bashir.

Minnifield, 25, signed on with Washington as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2012. He was signed to the team’s active roster in September and has appeared in six games this season while recording two tackles.

There’s a good chance that Minnifield will clear waivers on Wednesday and could be signed to the team’s practice squad later in the week.
