Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Redskins are waiving LBÂ Willie Jefferson on Saturday.
Jefferson, 24, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin back in 2013. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was waived a few months into his rookie season.
The Bills later signed him to a future/reserve contract in January of last year, but he lasted just a few months in Buffalo before he was cut a week or so before the start of free agency.
Jefferson signed a future/reserve contract with the Redskins this past January.
In two seasons with the Eskimos of the CFL, Jefferson recorded 43 tackles, 10 sacks, and a fumble recovery.
